In response to the missile family development needs of terminal air defense missiles in systematic air defense operations， the development status and characteristics of terminal defense abroad are analyzed， and the requirements of the new generation of terminal air defense missiles is studied. According to the development characteristics and requirements of terminal air defense missile， the overall technical requirements of the terminal defense missile family are analyzed， and the architecture design method is proposed. The overall parameters of basic type terminal air defense missile， integral short range air defense missile and boost short-range air defense missile are designed and analyzed， and the boost missile family architecture shows the better overall parameters.
